Below you’ll find some pictures of the 1st Leigh Scout Group (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) and Pioneer Explorer Unit attendance at St Edburga Church in Leigh on the 10th November 2024. There were 60+ young members present.
The service was conducted by the Rev Anne Potter during which they all learned that Jelly babies were originally, just after WW1, called Peace Babies with each different colour having a different symbol on its body depicting something relating to peace . She did of course bring plenty along so that every young person present could lick the icing sugar off to reveal the symbol, swiftly followed by consumption!
